Shameless Promotion

Love Person by Aditi Brennan Kapil

It's been a long hard season, but this season's close will be sweet with the new work by Minneapolis playwright, Aditi Brennan Kapil.

Love Person is the story of Vic a two time loser in love, who falls for a Sanskrit scholar from out of town. When the scholar returns to his translations, Vic is left wondering how to pursue a relationship with someone completely different from her usual guy. So Vic enlists the help of her sister's partner Maggie to send email love letter to Ram. Vic's sister, Free, becomes angry with what she sees as deception.

Adding to this Cyrano story of lovers struggling to communicate are the layers of Sanskrit and American Sign Language, which flow freely throughout the production. This story will be translated throughout to ensure that the hearing impaired can follow the story and that the hearing community can understand when sign is the sole communicaiton on stage.
Please join us for this unique story about love, nuance and communication.

Performances are June 29, 30, July 6 & 7. Tickets are $10 ($5 if you're an IF Virgin). To reserve seats call 517.290.4375 or email info@icarusfalling.com. All performances will be at the Black Child and Family Institute, 835 W. Genessee Lansing, MI.
