Home Is Where...
They say home is where the heart is, but sometimes that can't be the case.
We've completed a difficult season and now we've earned the opportunity to plan for the next. Unfortunately, part of that planning is finding a new home. Things continue to be in flux for the Creole Gallery, which is completely understandable, but heartbreaking. So, now we find ourselves gypsies searching for a locale that fits us, our shows and our personality.
There are numerous locales that we could use, but it is difficult to find one that doesn't feel like an ill-fitting suit or staying at the in-laws.
We're trying to find a space that would allow us to continue being part of the Old Town experience, but there just doesn't seem to be the space available.
Other spots would allow us to perform, but they don't seem to be spots that help us to build a community dialogue or collaborate with our neighbors to benefit Lansing.
Well, enough whining.
If anyone knows of a space that would make a good home for IF, then please drop us a line or give us a call.
