Lets Celebrate
We're gonna hold a Housewarming Fundraiser on October 18 from 7:30 to 10 p.m. at 2312 E. Michigan Ave., the former Dancing Crane Gallery. Guests are encouraged to forego the usual Ficus (though a bottle of wine would be fine) and instead bring a prop, costume piece or generous donation of funds to celebrate Icarus Falling's new digs and season.
Items needed include:
Guests will be treated to music by local musicians, scenes from IF shows, stand-up comedy and a retrospective of IF's past seven seasons. Hors d'oeuvres, desserts and drinks will be provided.
"Why not do things a little different? We've never done the typical shows. So, why not launch our season and space with something a little out of the ordinary? An informal get together that celebrates our patrons and the vibrant East side community we are joining just feels right. We're confident that we can continue to be an asset in Lansing's pursuit of being a hip and cool city to live, work and play in."Please join us to explore the new space, celebrate the new season and look back on seven years of barely bridled mayhem.
If you want a sneak preview of the space, stop by Michigan Homegrown Music for an open mic night and check out the local musical talent we're blessed with.
